The South Central Cougars scored first, but could not hang on, as they fell to the Neoga Indians 3-1 on Friday night. After 5 scoreless innings, the Cougars got on the board in the top of the sixth inning when Hudson Moore led off with a double, before stealing third, and scoring on a wild pitch to give South Central a 1-0 lead. That lead would be short lived however, as Neoga would score 3 runs of their own, and held the Cougars scoreless to come away with the 3-1 win. The loss drops South Central to 5-6 on the year, and 1-4 in NTC play. They will be on the road on Tuesday to take on Dieterich.
