South Central and Dieterich Set to Battle for IESA 1A Regional Championship

South Central and Dieterich are set to meet for the third time this junior high softball season with this showdown the biggest one yet as the Lady Falcons and the Lady Road Runners meet in the Championship Game of the Albion 1-A Regional this morning at 11:00am. Dieterich has taken both meetings between the teams so far with the Road Runners winning 16-2 in the first matchup on August 11 and again in the August 30 matchup, this time by a slim 11-10 margin, at South Central’s tournament. The Lady Falcons are 16-4 overall on the season while Dieterich is 18-4. The winner of the Albion Regional Championship game will advance to the Hutsonville Sectional on Tuesday to face the winner of the Sigel St. Michael Regional Championship between Martinsville and Neoga. South Central is attempting to make a return trip to the IESA 1A State Tournament where they placed 4^th last year.
