The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats got a big 8 run first inning, and held the Ramsey/Mulberry Grove Rams in check to get an 19-8 win on Thursday. CHBC kicked the scoring off with when Connor Vaughn hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Kale Hardimon to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead. The lead would be short lived however, as the Rams would tack on 3 runs off a two RBI single from Carson Phillips, and Carson Caylor would reach on an error to score Phillips to give the Rams a 3-1 lead. It would be all CHBC from that point forward however, as the Bobcats would tack on 8 runs in the second inning to give them a 9-3 lead. The Rams would attempt to add on runs throughout the game, but CHBC continued to add on to secure the 19-8 win. The win improves the Bobcats to 1-5 on the season. They will be on the road on Friday to take on Altamont in NTC action. The Rams fall to 0-8 on the year. They will be off until next Thursday to take on BSE.
