The Brownstown/St. Elmo Bombers got down 7-0 early on, and could not keep up as they fell to the Neoga Indians in NTC action on Tuesday at Bob Page Field. Neoga scored two runs in the first, four in the third, and 1 in the fourth to open out to a 7-0 lead. The Bombers would slowly chip away at the deficit in the bottom of the fourth when Benji Lowe hit a sacrifice fly to score Logan Lach to make it a 7-1 game. BSE would continue to close the gap in the fifth when Jayce Gillespie would triple to score Keelan Speagle, and Dodge Willms would double to make the score 7-3. Sullivan Smith would single to score Wilms to cut the deficit to 7-4, but that would be the closest BSE would get, as Neoga would add on 4 runs in the sixth to put the game out of reach 11-4. Gillespie would triple again to make it an 11-5 game, but the Bombers would be held scoreless in the seventh, taking the 11-5 loss. The loss drops BSE to 3-5 on the year and 2-3 in NTC play. They will be back at home on Thursday to take on Christ Our Rock Lutheran.
