Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City volleyball picked up its second win of the season on Monday night beating Sandoval in two sets, 25-13, 25-22. The Lady Bobcats controlled the first set early on, getting out to a quick 3-0 lead and was able to pull out some big hits consistent serving to ride that momentum to the 25-13 set win. The momentum would swing to Sandoval’s side in the second set though and CHBC found themselves down 17-9 at one point before a 15-5 swing by the Lady Bobcats put them up 24-22 before putting the set away 25-23 for the match win. CHBC improves to 2-6 on the season and will have a double conference matchup tonight as they go back on the road to face St. Elmo-Brownstown in National Trail Conference and Egyptian Illini Conference action.
