Movin’ Maroons baseball kept Windsor/Stew-Stras off the scoreboard, getting a 4-0 National Trail Conference win at home on Friday. A one out RBI single by Andrew Hall scored Bryce Bohnhoff in the bottom of the first inning to put Dieterich up 1-0 and that lead doubled to 2-0 in the bottom of the second inning when an RBI single to left field by Alex Schottman scores Mason Lidy. After the Maroons were held scoreless in the third inning, a line drive single by Carson Baxter was misplayed by the center fielder allowing Lidy to score and edge the Dieterich lead out to 3-0. The Maroons wrapped up their scoring for the game when a WSS error on a ground ball by Justin Boerngen allowed Traden Kessler to score for a 4-0 Dieterich lead. WSS was held scoreless again in the top of the seventh as the Maroons closed out the 4-0 win. Dieterich is now 4-5 on the season and they improve to 2-1 in NTC play.
