Altamont Gets NTC Win over BSE Behind Six RBI Day From Milleville

The Altamont Indians used a seven-run sixth inning, and clutch hitting from Senior Kade Milleville to earn a big 12-5 win over the Brownstown/St. Elmo Bombers in an NTC showdown on Friday night. The Bombers got on the board in the top of the third inning after back-to-back doubles from Benji Lowe and Calvin Voelker to take a 1-0 lead. The Indians wasted no time tying the game a half inning later when Milleville doubled to score Will Reardon to tie the game at 1. After stealing third, Milleville would score on a groundout from Cooper McManaway to give the Indians a 2-1 lead. BSE would retake the lead in the top of the fourth inning after loading the bases, Voelker would rip a double down the left field line to make it a 3-2 game. Two more runs would come across after Keelan Speagle would single to make the score 5-2. Altamont would tie the game once again in the bottom of the fourth after a hit by pitch to Carson Milleville, and back-to-back walks from Lucas Berg and Reardon, Milleville would rip a double down the rightfield line to tie the game at 5. The score would remain tied until the bottom of the sixth inning, when once again the bases would be loaded for Milleville, and he would come through with a 2 RBI single to give the Indians a 7-5 lead. Five more runs would cross the plate after singles from McManaway, Zaine Miller, and a double from Kaiden Wolff, to cap off a 7-run inning for Altamont, securing them with the 12-5 victory. The win improves Altamont to 3-4 on the year, and 3-1 in NTC play. They will be on the road on Tuesday to take on South Central. BSE falls to 3-4 on the season, and 2-2 in NTC play. They will be at home on Tuesday to take on Neoga.
