The South Central Cougars earned their first NTC win of the season behind a dominant performance on the mound from Chase Guerrettaz, getting an 8-0 win over the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats on Tuesday night. The Cougars got on the board in the top of the second inning when Aiden Hoover singled to score Sebastian Kruger and Isaac Guerrettaz. South Central added a pair of runs two batters later with a Hudson Moore single to make it a 4-0 ballgame. That score would remain until the top of the seventh when the Cougars loaded the bases, and added four runs on a pair of walks and a pair of hit by pitches, securing them with the 8-0 win. The Cougars improve to 2-3 on the year, and 1-1 in NTC play. South Central will be at home on Thursday to take on Wayne City. The Bobcats fall to 0-3 on the year, and 0-2 in NTC play. They will be at home on Thursday to take on Windser-Stew Stras.
