Altamont baseball used a three-run fifth inning to get a 4-1 win on the road against Windsor/Stew-Stras and move to 2-0 in the National Trail Conference. The Indians started the game’s scoring with a run on a RBI double from Kade Milleville for 1-0 lead. The Hatchets responded in the bottom half of the inning, tying the game up at 1-1, a tie that would hold throughout the next two innings. Altamont got things going again in the top of the fifth inning as Milleville drew a lead off walk followed by a single from Reed Stuemke and then a double to center field from Zaine Miller that scored Milleville to give the Indians the lead back, 2-1. A groundout by Brayden Elam scored Stuemke and a groundout by Parker Bell scored courtesy runner Carson Milleville to put the Indians up at 4-1 to end the half inning. That would prove to be the final score as neither the Indians or Hatchets were able to push any more runs across the plate in the sixth or seventh innings. Altamont is now 2-0 on the season and 2-0 in NTC play.
