South Central Lady Cougars volleyball opened their 2025 season with a dominant win over Ramsey on Tuesday 25-10, 25-14. The Lady Cougars got out to a 15-8 lead in the first set before a 7-1 run put them up 22-9. A 3-1 run would cap off the first set victory, 25-10. The first set momentum continued into the second set as South Central raced out to a 10-2 lead. Ramsey would fight back as the teams would play even over the next 16 points between the two teams, but the Lady Cougars maintained their set lead, 18-10. A series of volleys that included key hustle plays for saves by both teams kept the set interesting, but South Central closed out the set win 25-14 to win the match two sets to none. South Central starts the season at 1-0 and will have a tough early season conference matchup on Tuesday as they travel to St. Anthony for their National Trail Conference opener.
