Dieterich and Ramsey started off their seasons with a three set battle on Monday night with the Maroons topping the Rams 22-25, 25-18, 25-16. The Rams were able to take advantage of some key defensive errors by the Maroons late in the first set for the 25-22 win. While the second set would be close again, Dieterich would be the one taking advantage of late set errors to get some breathing room and get the 25-18 set win. The Maroons rode that momentum into the third and final set getting out to an 11-3 lead early and pushing it out to 24-12. Ramsey was able to put together a short rally and cut it to 24-16, but Dieterich put the set away for a 25-16 win. Dieterich starts the season at 1-0 and will be back in action tonight at home as they take on Cisne. Ramsey starts the season at 0-1 and will be on the road again tonight at South Central.
