Grace Lemke Records 1,000th Career Strikeout and Lily Johnson Gets 600th Strikeout – Altamont senior pitcher Grace Lemke struck out 416 batters this season including one of them being her 1,000th career strikeout. During the Lady Indians April 24 game at Vandalia, Lemke would toss 20 strikeouts in the game including her 1,000th and would go on and finish her career with 1,165 career strikeouts. Mulberry Grove senior pitcher Lily Johnson tossed 10 strikeouts in two games during the Egyptian Illini Conference Tournament on May 10 including her 600th career strikeout. Johnson would go on to finish the season with 171 strikeouts and tally 646 career strikeouts.
