Jason Clay–
Vandals Wrestling Coach Jason Clay finished off an outstanding career with the Vandals overall best season–one that fell just shy of winning a state championship. Coach Clay helped lead the Vandals to a 40-2 record. Their only losses were to Union County, Kentucky early in the season and to Coal City in the Dual Team State Championship match–in between putting together a 40 match winning streak. Coach Clay finishes his career with a dual team record of 504-110 and got to cap off his final year as head coach with multiple state champions and first-time titles at the Princeton Tournament and Abe’s Rumble.
Mark Rinehart–
Coach Rinehart did an outstanding job coaching the Lady Vandals this past winter, helping to lead them to a 16-14 record on the season. The Lady Vandals dealt with quite a few injuries on the season, but battled their way through to end up with a winning record. The Lady Vandals will return quite a bit of talent this year, including 2 members of our All Area Girls Basketball Team.
John Niebrugge–
After losing a big bulk of his varsity minutes and scoring off an outstanding ’23-’24 squad, Coach Niebrugge took a young team and molded them quickly. The Indians got out to a good start and won three of their first four games of the season. After a rough stretch in December where they lost 7 of 8 games, the Indians bounced back in a big way winning 15 of their remaining 20 games to finish the season at 19-13 and going 6-2 in the National Trail Conference to finish 2nd in the regular season standings and finish third in the NTC Tournament.
