BSE’s Dayana Haslett Scores 1,000th Career Point as a Sophomore – After scoring 549 points her freshman year, Haslett got off to a fast start to her sophomore year with 14 20+ point games in the first 19 games of the season. That hot start culminated in Haslett coming back from the short winter break to drop 23 points in a win over Mt. Olive at home on January 9 that included her 1,000th career point. Haslett would get a steal and take the layup in for the basket at the 4:32 left mark in the third quarter of that game to reach the milestone in just her 53rd high school game. After reaching that mark, Haslett went on to finish the season with 745 points, putting her at 1,294 career points heading into her upcoming junior season.
