All Area Team (In no particular order)
Macee Rodman, CHBC – The senior guard averaged 19.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 1.6 assists per game for the Bobcats to cap off her high school career. She finishes her career with 1,688 points to be the 2nd All-Time leading scorer at CHBC. This season Rodman was named to MVP of the CHBC Thanksgiving Tournament, Nokomis Tip-Off All-Tournament Team, National Trail Conference Tournament All-Tournament Team, NTC Second Team All-Conference, Egyptian Illini First Team All-Conference and earned Special Mention All-State honors.
Kaylee Lurkins, Altamont – The junior forward rolled her strong sophomore season into another successful campaign this last season averaging 11.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game for the Lady Indians. She was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Newton Bob Kerans Tournament, was a Game MVP at the Robinson Holidaze Tournament, named to the All-Tournament Team at the National Trail Conference Tournament and earned First Team All-Conference honors for the NTC. Lurkins has received offers to pay collegiately already from Millikin University and Lake Land College.
Kelsey Hayes, Ramsey/MG – The senior center was a force on the boards for the Lady Rams in her final season, averaging 12.6 rebounds per game along with 7 , 2 blocks and 1.7 assists per game. She ended the season with 277 rebounds as she racked up 661 rebounds across her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. She was named First Team All-Conference for the Egyptian Illini Conference.
Madison Lupton, Vandalia – The senior guard was a steady leader for the Lady Vandals as they rebounded from a tough 23-24 season to go 16-14 this past season. Lupton led the Lady Vandals with 374 points on the season and averaged 12.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.2 steals, 1.4 assists this year. She was named a member of the Nokomis Tip-Off Classic All-Tournament Team
Kaitlyn Swift, South Central – Despite missing the first month of her senior season recovering from a knee injury, Swift made her presence known once she returned to the Lady Cougars lineup and averaged just under 13 points per game as she was a long range scoring threat. She was named Honorable Mention All-Conference for the National Trail Conference.
Madi Miller, BSE – The sophomore forward averaged 9.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game and helped lead her team to their second Regional Championship in BSE history. Miller was named to the All-Tournament Team at the National Trail Conference Tournament, was named Honorable Mention All-Conference for the NTC and First Team All-Conference for the Egyptian Illini Conference.
Kylie Osteen, Altamont – The senior made a switch in roles her senior year as she moved into a point guard position for the Lady Indians after playing more of a forward role during Altamont’s Third Place State run her junior year. Counted on to step up as a scorer some games while serving more in a facilitator role in other games, Osteen put together a solid senior season that saw her named to the All-Tournament Team at the National Trail Conference Tournament and after the season was named Honorable Mention All-Conference for the NTC. She has signed to continue her basketball career collegiately at Kaskaskia College.
Ollie Whitehead, Vandalia – The junior guard used her pesky defense to create many offensive opportunities for herself and her Lady Vandals teammates as they bounced back with a 16-14 season this year. Whitehead averaged 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.4 assists a game for the Lady Vandals. After the season, she was a Third Team All-Conference selection for the South Central Conference.
Baylee Brown, South Central – The freshman was counted on early in her first high school season for a young Lady Cougars team and averaged about 10 points a game including putting up 13 and 21 points in her first two Varsity games.
Daisy Allen, Ramsey/MG – The junior forward had a breakthrough in her third season, stepping up into the starting lineup and averaging 6.6 points and 6.3 rebounds for the Lady Rams this season. She would be named Honorable Mention for the Egyptian Illini Conference.
Presley Williams, BSE – The junior guard averaged 7.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3 steals and 2.7 assists per game, overcoming a mid-January ankle injury to use her tough defense and help get the Lady Bombers their second ever Regional Championship title in BSE program history. Williams earned Second Team All-Conference honors in both the National Trail Conference and Egyptian Illini Conference.
Bella Walk, Vandalia – The freshman guard quickly found herself a spot in the 16-14 Lady Vandals starting lineup in her first season of high school basketball. Showing her range of offense and her quickness on defense, Walk averaged 8.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals a game in her freshman year.
