Golf Players of the Year
Ramsey junior Bryce Gillock – Gillock led the Rams all season, turning in several medalist finishes in the regular season. He showed a nearly 12 stroke improvement on his 18-hole average in 2024 over his sophomore season in 2023 and showed a two stroke improvement in his low score, with a best of 35 in 2024 compared to 37 in 2023 while also improving his drive by 30 yards. He tied for 8th place in the IHSA 1A Regionals and tied for 51st in the IHSA 1A Sectional.
Vandalia senior Abby Tate – Tate continued her strong 2023 season into 2024 where she was a leader for the Lady Vandals with several medalist finishes. Tate finished in the top 10 of the South Central Conference for the second year in a row, coming in 9th place after battling rain and the elements all tournament long. Tate went on to finish tied for 23rd place at the Effingham St. Anthony 1A Regional to earn an advancing spot to the Sectionals. Tate wrapped up her high school career with a 49th place finish at the Effingham 1A Sectional.
