Former VCHS, Kaskaskia College Standout Gracie Philpot to Play for UMSL

VCHS grad and Kaskaskia College softball standout Gracie Philpot will take her talents to the four-year level as she has committed to play for Division II University of Missouri-St. Louis next season. Philpot just finished a 2025 season that saw her play in 56 games where she batted .459 with 11 home runs, 63 RBI, 46 runs scores and she also stole 12 bases. Philpot mainly manned centerfield for KC who went 31-27 this Spring, but she also spent some time on the mound for the Blue Angels and she pitched 16.2 innings giving up 33 runs on 25 hits while striking out 14 and walking 20. In making the short trip west to St. Louis, Philpot joins a Triton program that went 19-26 under former Iowa middle infielder and Head Coach Chelsey Mulligan who was coaching her first full season at UMSL after being the interim coach in 2024. The Tritons are members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference and went 12-16 in conference play in 2025.
