Our Pro Wire Athlete of the Week for June 28 is the South Central Storm 18U softball team.
Last weekend, the Storm went a perfect 5-0 in the Missouri East “Class B” State Tournament held the Eureka Athletic Complex in Eureka, Missouri. The Storm outscored their opponents 32-3 in their run right through bracket play with wins over the ADA Panthers Purple, MO Fury 18U, Z20 Bombers 18U, Bluff City Fastpitch 18U and then beating the Z20 Bombers for a second time in the title game. The team features South Central Lady Cougars Kyra Swift, Kaitlyn Swift and Lauren Johnson and Mulberry Grove Lady Ace Taylor Stone.
