Brownstown-St. Elmo girls basketball head north this week and came away with a 7-2 record from three days of play in the Dells Basketball Shootout at Wisconsin Dells High School held Monday thru Wednesday. The Lady Bombers suffered a 55-39 loss in their opener on Monday to New London-Spicer of Minnesota before getting wins in their second and third games of the day beating another Minnesota school, NNRHEG, 45-42 and then grabbing a 39-33 win over Stillman Valley. Much like the first day, BSE began day two of competition on Tuesday taking a tough loss, falling to Caledonia High School in Minnesota, by 37-27. The Bombers then got a dominant 51-26 win over Orangeville and got a 42-36 win over Amery High School of Wisconsin to come to an overall 4-2 record to close the first two days of play. BSE rolled through the final day of competition, beating Milton High School 58-43 and Webster High School 45-31 both of Wisconsin before wrapping up the week with a Waterville-Elysian High School of Minnesota 54-42 to finish the day at 3-0 and 7-2 overall for the shootout. BSE now stands at 9-3 for the summer across their first 12 games of play during the summer.
