Altamont Varsity and JV and Brownstown-St. Elmo Varsity girls basketball teams will be in action today at the Emerald Courts Shootout at the Emerald Acres Sports Complex in Mattoon. Each team will get three games in for the first game today beginning at 10:00am with Varsity and JV games rotating. Altamont Varsity will face Tri-County and BSE will face Taylorville at 10:00am. The teams will then have two hours off before Altamont takes on Watseka and BSE will face Cumberland at 1:00pm. They will have one more two hour break before playing their final games of the day at 4:00pm with Altamont going up against Salt Fork and BSE taking on St. Joe Ogden. For Altamont JV, they will get three games in for the day as well facing Cumberland JV at Noon, Sullivan JV at 3:00pm and Mattoon JV at 6:00pm.
The teams will return on Friday for the second day for three more games. Admission for the shootout is $12 for a one day pass or $20 for a two-day pass.
