CHBC baseball tied the game in the top of the seventh inning, but Nokomis walked it off in the bottom half of the inning as the Bobcats fell to the Redskins, 3 to 2, in the Semifinals of the Okaw Valley 1A Regional to see their season come to an end. After Nokomis was able to get out to a 1-0 lead, CHBC tied the game up at 1-1 in the top of the thirds inning on a RBI single by AJ Radloff. That tie would hold until Nokomis pulled ahead once again, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. Two singles and a sacrifice bunt to start the seventh inning loaded the bases for the Bobcats. After two strikeouts threatened CHBC’s scoring chances, a bases loaded drawn walk by Kale Hardimon tied the score up at 2-2. Nokomis was able to get out of the inning by getting the Bobcats to ground into a fielder’s choice and in the bottom half of the seventh a walk and a CHBC error put two runners on base for Nokomis which then became loaded on an intentional walk. Nokomis then grounded into a fielder’s choice that allowed a run to score for the Redskins as the Bobcats suffered the heartbreaker loss by one run, 3-2, and saw their season come to an end. CHBC finishes their season with a record 7-16.
