Altamont boys track and field took second place in their own Ellis Invite meet on Monday. The boys finished with 88 points, coming in six points behind first place Vandalia and 23 points ahead of third place Cumberland. The Indians had four event champions for the meet including Hayden Bridges in the 200m Dash, Hayden Summers in the 300m Hurdles, Jacob Veteto in the Pole Vault and Ben Roedl in the High Jump and Long Jump. The Indians will have one more meet this week, competing in the Shelbyville Boys Invite this Friday before beginning the postseason with the IHSA Boys Sectional next Wednesday, May 21 which Altamont is hosting.
