Mulberry Grove went 2-0 on Saturday to win the Egyptian Illini Conference Softball Tournament while CHBC went 1-1 in tournament play. Due to extenuating circumstances, conference teams St. Elmo-Brownstown and Ramsey each played just one game with Ramsey beating SEB 13-3. The remaining three EIC teams then played a round robin. Mulberry Grove beat CHBC 13-0 before CHBC was a 2-1 winner over Martinsville. In the final game, Mulberry Grove beat Martinsville, 12-0, to claim the Championship of the tournament.
During the tournament, Mulberry Grove’s Lily Johnson, Taylor Stone and Jenni Mezo as well as CHBC’s Ryleigh Sarver and Macee Rodman and Ramsey’s Mia Waggoner were named to the EIC All-Tournament Team while Mulberry Grove’s Callye Earnest and Ramsey’s Kaylianna Morrison were name Honorable Mention.
