In a rematch of last season’s NTC Third place game, the South Central Lady Cougars got their revenge getting a 1-0 win over the Altamont Lady Indians. South Central got their lone run on the board in the bottom of the first inning when Kyra Swift led off with a walk. After successfully stealing second and third, Swift would score the game’s lone run. Altamont’s Grace Lemke and South Central’s Maddie Peddicord would combine for 27 strikeouts and only two hits allowed, with Lemke tossing another no-hitter despite taking the loss. The win improves the Lady Cougars to 14-8 on the season. They will return home on Monday to take on Christ Our Rock Lutheran. The Lady Indians fall to 16-7 on the season. They will be on the road Monday OPH.
