The Vandalia Vandals got their second straight SCC win defeating the Carlinville Caviliers Tuesday night 65-41. The two teams would play a tight first quarter with the Vandals taking a 13-9 lead as Andrew Casey and Qwentyn Stombaugh lead the way with 7 and 6 points in the quarter. The Vandals would continue to extend their lead in the second quarter, as they would go on a 18-11 run, highlighted by 12 points from Wade Brannon to take a 31-20 halftime lead. Vandalia would continue to carry over their first half momentum in the third quarter, outscoring Carlinville 14-9 to take a 45-29 lead into the fourth. The Vandals would pull away for good in the fourth quarter going on a 20-12 run to come away with the 65-41 victory. With the win, the Vandals improve to 11-14 on the season, and 2-2 in conference play. The Vandals will be back in action on Friday for another SCC matchup when they travel to Piasa to take on the Piasa Southwestern Birds
