St. Elmo-Brownstown boys basketball was handed a rough 62 to 25 loss by National Trail Conference Tournament runner-up Dieterich in the regular season NTC meeting between the two teams on Tuesday night. The team teams met up just last week with the Eagles suffering a 20-point loss. This second time around, the SEB offense struggled more against the Maroons as they would not hit a shot from the floor in the first quarter while hitting just three in each of the second and third quarters and just two in the fourth quarter while going 6 of 6 at the line for their 25 points in the 62-25 loss. With the loss, SEB drops to 11-12 on the season and to 1-3 in the NTC. They will be back in action on Friday for another NTC matchup as they travel to South Central, another team they faced just last week in the NTC Tournament.
