CHBC's Second Half Comeback Falls Short at Comet Shootout

The CHBC Lady Bobcats struggled in the first half of their Comet Shootout matchup against Greenville, but a strong second half comeback was not enough as they would fall to the Comets 60 to 52 on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Bobcats struggled to stop Greenville in the first half, being outscored 16-6 and 13-7 over the first two quarters to find themselves trailing 29-13 at halftime. CHBC would come out in the third quarter looking like a different team as they would pour in 22 points while holding Greenville to 14 points and cutting their deficit to 43-35 to start the fourth quarter. CHBC was able to keep up their strong scoring pace, but it would be matched by Greenville as the Comets held the Bobcats to 17 points while scoring another 17 themselves as the Bobcats second half comeback attempt came up short as they suffered the 60-52 loss. CHBC falls to 7-7 0n the season and will be off until after the new year when they will jump back into National Trail Conference action on January 6 at home against South Central.
