Altamont allowed Nokomis to go on a second quarter run and couldn’t overcome that small deficit as they fell 41-31 on the road on Thursday night. The two teams would combine for just 12 points in the first quarter as the Lady Indians trailed 7-5 to start the second quarter. Nokomis would go on a 17-9 run in the second as Altamont was held to just three baskets from the field and three free throws in the quarter and found themselves behind 24-14 at halftime. The third quarter would be very much like the first as just 10 points were scored between the two teams in the period with Altamont just outscored 6-4 and the Indians trailing 30-18 at the end of the quarter. The girls would have their best scoring quarter in the fourth, as they had a 13-11 advantage over Nokomis, but the effort was not enough as Altamont fell 41-31. The Lady Indians are now 4-5 on the season and after just one day off they will look to bounce back on Saturday when they are on the road again to take on Greenville at 11:00am.
