Mulberry Grove fell behind early and then battled all the way back to grab a 66 to 55 win over Martinsville in their Egyptian Illini Conference opener on Friday night. The Aces trailed 18-7 after the first quarter but would get their offense really started in the second quarter, going on a 19-14 run as they cut their deficit down to six points and trailed 32-26 at halftime. Mulberry Grove turned up the tempo and scoring in the third quarter as a 20-11 run would put the Aces up 46-43 at the end of the third quarter. A 20-12 run through the fourth quarter would complete the second half comeback for the Aces as they closed out the 66-55 win. Mulberry Grove evens up their record at 3-3 on the season and they are 1-0 in the EIC. They will be back in action again on Tuesday for another EIC matchup at home against Patoka-Odin.
