Altamont girls basketball won their third straight game, getting a 32-25 win on the road at Casey-Westfield on Thursday night. The two teams were each held to just six points in the first quarter as they headed to the second quarter all tied up. Altamont would begin to make their move for some separation in the second quarter, holding the Lady Warriors to just a single point in the quarter while the Lady Indians dropped 11 points to grab a 17-7 halftime lead. Altamont would continue to hold that lead as they edged out Casey-Westfield in scoring for the third quarter, 8-7, for a 25-14 lead to start the fourth quarter. The Lady Indians would be unable to hit from the floor in the fourth quarter with their seven points instead coming from going 7 of 12 from the free throw line, while the Warriors scored 11 points from the floor, as Altamont was able to hold off Casey-Westfield’s late run for the 32-25 win. The third straight win puts Altamont above the .500 mark at 4-3 on the season. They will be back at home on Monday as they get back into National Trail Conference play hosting St. Anthony.
