The second quarter was again a big problem for the Vandals, as they fall to Marshall on Saturday, 54 to 49, in the 3rd place game of the Cumberland Thanksgiving Tournament.
The Vandals had a rough first half all together on Saturday, as they trailed 17 to 9 after the 1st quarter. But, then the Vandals managed just 3 points in the 2nd quarter to trail 25 to 12 at halftime. The second half was a much different story as the Vandals twice cut the Marshall lead to 3. But, they could get no closer and suffered their second loss in 2 days.
The Vandals are now 1-2 on the season. They will begin regular season play this week as they will host Newton tomorrow night.
