CHBC girls basketball grabbed two wins to wrap up pool play at their own CHBC Girls Thanksgiving Tournament as they punched their ticket to the Championship game on Saturday. In their first game of the day, the Lady Bobcats would get a 58-43 win over South Central after outscoring the Lady Cougars 34-25 in the first half and the outscoring them 12-9 in each of the final two quarters for the 58-43 win. In their second game of the day, CHBC got off to a slow start as the Lady Pirates surged out to a 16-7 lead in the first quarter. The Bobcats would play even with Cumberland in the second quarter and remain behind 29-20 at halftime. The third quarter would be much of the same as CHBC would just outscore the Pirates 19-18 in the third to cut their deficit to 47-39. The tide turned on the game in the fourth quarter though as CHBC went on a 16-4 run to pull ahead and then close out the 55-51 win. CHBC moves to 4-2 on the season and advances to the Championship game where they will face Effingham JV at 3:30pm.
