Vandalia’s Hannah Brown Set for IHSA Girls State Track Finals Today

Vandalia sophomore thrower Hannah Brown will be the lone I70Sports area competitor at today’s Finals of the IHSA 1A Girls State Track Meet at Eastern Illinois University on Charleston. Brown is making her first appearance in the Shot Put Finals after falling short by just one place in the Prelims to advance last season. This year, Brown entered the meet ranked 11^th out of the 34 state qualifiers and had a Preliminary Round best throw of 11.00m or 36’ 1.25” to come in 10^th and make the cut of the Top 12 to move to the Finals. Brown will throw at 10:00am this morning in the 1A Finals with all Preliminary round throws carrying over to the Finals. The top 9 placers will medal.
