Despite 33 points from Hayden Hayes and another 18 from Gunner Finley, Ramsey fell to North Clay 84-69 in a physical game that ended with 52 fouls being called. The Rams and Cardinals traded baskets the entire first quarter with Ramey trailing 23-18 at the end of the quarter with the scoring difference coming from six of the eight field goals made by North Clay coming from beyond the arc compared to three by the Rams. North Clay just outscored the Rams in the second quarter, 21-19, as Ramsey found themselves trailing 44-37 at halftime. Ramsey came out for the second half and senior Hayden Hayes heated up, pouring in 19 points in the quarter but the Rams still trailed 70-59 at the end of the third quarter. A 14-10 North Clay run in the fourth quarter would close out the game as Ramsey would fall 84-69. The Rams are now 3-18 on the season and will head on the road Tuesday, as they travel to Martinsville for an Egyptian Illini Conference matchup.
