After dropping three of their last four games, including their last two games and both of their road games during that time, the Altamont Indians got a 56-51 win over Marshall on the road on Thursday night. The Indians got off to a quick offensive start and would go on a 27-14 run in the first 8 minutes of play. Marshall would get their offense going though in the second quarter and fight back to outscore the Indians 21-8 and tie things up 35-35 at halftime. The two teams combined for just 12 points in the third quarter, but Altamont would score eight of those points for a 43-39 lead at the end of the period. Altamont would outscore Marshall 13-12 in the closing quarter to edge their lead out and close out the win, 56-51. Altamont moves to 5-3 on the season as they head back on the road next week to try and defend their title at the Sesser-Valier Holiday Tournament. They open play in the quarterfinals as the #4 seed and will take on #5 seed DuQuoin on Tuesday at 6:00pm.
