The seeding for the 2023 IHSA Volleyball Postseason as well as the schedules and brackets have been released. Regional action will kick off two weeks from today with quarterfinals matches starting on Monday, October 23.
In Class 2A, Vandalia at 5-21-1 on the season is the #11 seed in Sub Sectional B of the Greenville Sectional. They will host one of the two Regionals in the Sub Sectional and will play in the second quarterfinal match on Monday, October 23 at 7:00pm against #6 seed Pana (12-9). The winner will move on to the second semifinal match against #3 seed Shelbyville on Tuesday, October 24 at 7:00pm.
In Class 1A, all six I70Sports area teams are in Sub Sectional A of the Nokomis Sectional. South Central (17-10) is the only team to crack the Top 5, coming in as the #5 seed. Ramsey (12-10) is not far behind as the #7 seed with Mulberry Grove (9-11) as the #8 seed, Altamont (7-10-2) as the #9 seed, St. Elmo-Brownstown (8-17) coming in at the #10 seed and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City (7-13) as the #11 seed.
At the Raymond Lincolnwood 1A Regional, #7 Ramsey and #8 Mulberry Grove will face each other in the first quarterfinal game at 6:00pm on Monday, October 23 with the winner going on to face #1 seed Lincolnwood in the first semifinal game at 6:00pm on Wednesday, October 25.
At the St. Elmo 1A Regional, #9 seed Altamont and the host and tenth-seeded Eagles will face each other in the first quarterfinal match at 6:00pm on Monday, October 23. The winner will advance to face #2 seed North Clay at 6:00pm in the first semifinal match on Wednesday, October 25. #5 seed South Central and #11 CHBC will face each other in the third quarterfinal match at 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 24. The winner will advance to the second semifinal game to face the winner of the second quarterfinal match between St. Anthony and Patoka.
