Lady Vandal Macy Jones finishes second in the Jr Gold Bowling National Championship on Saturday. Sitting in a tie for 15th place going into match play, Jones bowled her way to the 2-3 match to knock off 2nd seed Anna Antony 212-161 for a shot at the title. The championship match with Larielle Tharps ended in a 226-226 tie, with a one-ball sudden victory situation, Tharps throwing a strike, Jones leaving a 4-7-10. With her runner-up finish, Jones earned a spot on the 2024 Team USA U15 developmental team.
Telecast of the finals will air on CBS Sports on August 9th at 6 pm CST
Macy is following up on a strong Freshman season when took 3rd place at the Girls State Bowling Tournament back in February.
