South Central softball pounded out 11 hits as they handed #1 Casey-Westfield their first loss of the season, 9 to 6 at Casey.
South Central got on the board early with 3 runs in the first and single runs in the 2nd and 3rd to expand their lead to 5-0. Casey-Westfield would get on the board with a single run in the 4th, but South Central answered with 2 runs in the top of the 5th. Casey Westfield would score 2 runs in the 5th and then did rally for 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th but it wasn’t enough as South Central secured the win. Casey-Westfield came into the game at 15-0 and ranked #1 in Class 1A softball according to MaxPreps. South Central softball is now 11-4 on the season and they are off today and will next play Monday at T-Town.
