The Ramsey boys basketball team claimed their highest finish to date at the Mulberry Grove Thanksgiving Tournament after beating host Mulberry Grove 48-36 in the tournament’s Third Place game on Saturday night. Mulberry Grove would hold an early advantage in the game with a 14-11 lead at the end of the first quarter. Ramsey would take the lead in the second quarter 20-16 before a last second long 3-point attempt from the Ram’s Ben Hayes would bank in at the buzzer to put Ramsey up 23-16 at halftime. Mulberry Grove would close the gap in the third quarter before the Rams would push it back out to 31-27 by the end of the third quarter. A 17-9 run in the fourth quarter would seal the win for the Rams and earn them a third place finish with the Aces finishing in fourth place. Ramsey is now 3-1 on the season for their best start in several years and they will not have much of a break before they return to action on Monday at Sandoval. Mulberry Grove drops to 2-2 on the season and will play their first road game of the season when they travel to Sandoval on Tuesday.
