The Vandalia girls basketball team will get back to a very familiar place for its Thanksgiving tournament plans this year as they will make a return this year to the Litchfield Girls Thanksgiving Tournament. The Lady Vandals played in the tournament for several years until 2015 after which they took a one year break and then moved to the Newton Girls Thanksgiving Tournament through last season. The tournament has taken on a bit of a different look with several new teams. The Lady Vandals will face Nokomis and Pawnee in pool play while Litchfield, Southwestern and Carlyle make up the other pool. Teams will play the other 2 teams in their pool before Championship night will pit the teams against each other depending on pool play finish.
