Best of 2021-22—Male Standout Athletes
Jadon Robertson, CHBC—In track, Jadon was a state championship in the 100m Hurdles and finished 2nd in the 300m Hurdles, High Jump and Long Jump and was a sectional champion in all of these events, as well. In fall baseball, Jadon hit .354 with a .466 OBP for CHBC. Jadon will continue his education and track career at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale this fall
Hadley Seaton, Ramsey—Hadley was a standout for the Rams Golf Team, which put together a strong campaign in the Fall 2021 season. Hadley was also a solid contributor in basketball for the Rams this past winter
Tucker Johnson, Mulberry Grove—Tucker hit .357 with a .452 OBP and 28 RS for the Aces in baseball and was a solid contributor for the Aces during the basketball season.
Brady Maxey, SEB/BSE—Brady had a solid basketball season for the Eagles, averaging 9.5 PPG and 4.9 RPG. He also put together a very strong baseball season with a .380 BA, .489 OBP and he also contributed 32 IP with a 2.41 ERA.
Aidan Dodson, South Central—Aidan averaged 15.6 PPG for South Central in helping lead to team to a 20+ win season and a Regional Championship. Aidan contributed as a top pitcher and driving in 24 runs during the baseball season.
Conner Ray, Vandalia—Conner was a solid contributor in 3 sports. Conner has 29 catches for 481 yards and 6 TDs on offense and 47 tackles on defense for the Vandals and was 3rd team WR and DB for the South Central Conference. Conner averaged 9.8 PPG, 3.9 RPG and 1.7 APG for the Vandals in basketball and then contributed some big starts on the mound and his .333 with 23 RBI during the Regional Championship Baseball season for the Vandals.
Matthew Hagy, Vandalia—Matthew put together 2,966 yards and 41 TDs in football between passing and rushing and was first team All-SCC as a Quarterback. Matthew was a starting guard for the Vandals, averaging 5.8 PPG and 2.7 APG in basketball. Matthew then hit .402 with 17 RBI to help lead the Vandals to a Regional Championship in baseball
