(Undated) — Deputy commissioner Bill Daly said if NHL games resume players will be tested daily for the coronavirus. The league estimates 25-to-35 thousand tests would be needed to get through the Stanley Cup playoffs. One person testing positive would not automatically mean the league shuts down again, but the infected player, coach or staff member would quarantine to prevent an outbreak. Chicago and St. Louis would be in the proposed expanded NHL Stanley Cup playoffs.
