>>NCAA Extending Deadline To Withdraw From NBA Draft

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The NCAA is extending the deadline for college players to withdraw from this year’s NBA Draft.  The deadline for players with remaining eligibility to pull out and return to school had been June 3rd.  A new date will be set once the NBA establishes a timeline to execute its pre-draft process.

>>DeSantis Welcoming Pro Sports Teams To Florida

(Tallahassee, FL)  —  Governor Ron DeSantis is welcoming pro sports teams to practice and play in Florida.  He says they’ll find a place for any team currently in an area where they’re not allowed to operate.  Arizona’s Doug Ducey said Tuesday that pro sports teams can resume there without fans starting Saturday.

>>Marlins To Furlough Some Employees Next Month

(Miami, FL)  —  The Miami Marlins are getting ready to start furloughing some of their employees.  Multiple reports say up to 100 members of the baseball operations staff will be temporarily furloughed starting June 1st due to the coronavirus pandemic.  Marlins CEO Derek Jeter suspended his salary last month.

>>Rams Latest NFL Team To Unveil New Uniforms

(Los Angeles, CA)  —  The Rams are the latest NFL team to unveil new uniforms this offseason.  They released a new logo weeks ago, but are now showing off modern blue, yellow and white jersey/pant combinations to go with a blue metallic chrome helmet.  The Rams are set to open their new stadium this year.

>>NBA To Switch Back To Wilson Balls In 2021-22

(Undated)  —  The NBA is going back to using Wilson balls starting in 2021-22.  Spalding will finish up a 37-year run as the league’s manufacturer next season.  Wilson was the NBA’s original provider and will now also make balls for the WNBA and the G League.  The WNBA will begin using Wilson balls in 2022.
