Gov Pritzker Apologizes For Comments Made About MLB Players

(Chicago, IL)  —  Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker is apologizing for comments he made about Major League Baseball players.  Earlier this week, Pritzker said he was disappointed that the players were holding out for more money during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.  His comments came after the players were offered a 50-50 split of revenues for a proposed 82-game schedule that would begin in early July.  The governor walked back his comments yesterday, apologizing for leaving the impression that baseball players shouldn’t have the right to bargain in order to protect their health and safety.
