ICYMI—–Turn Back The Clock—the 2003-2004 Vandals Basketball Team

This week’s Turn Back The Clock is for the 2003-2004 Vandals Basketball team.  The Vandals won 21 games, won a share of the South Central Conference, defeated Breese Mater Dei to win a Regional Championship and advanced to the Sectional Championship game before falling to Breese Central.  It was a talented group led by Senior Leaders Josh Reams, Zach Schaeffer and Ryan Smith and joined in the starting lineup by Junior Bryan Hobbie and Freshman Eric Hobbie with contributions from Junior Cody Hawkins, Sophomore Lucas Benning and others.

Fun Fact—4 players who stepped on the floor in a Varsity Game for the 2003-2004 Vandals would reach at least 1,000 points in their high school careers–Josh Reams, Zach Schaeffer, Eric Hobbie (who would pass 2,000 points) and Blake Doehring, who got into 4 games as a Freshman.
