(New York, NY) — The NBA is now delaying its plan to reopen team facilities by one week. The league was originally going to allow players to return for voluntary workouts this Friday, but that has now been pushed back to May 8th. Some states are beginning to loosen their stay-at-home restrictions.
>>NFL Would Consider Later Super Bowl, No Pro Bowl
(Undated) — The NFL is open to playing a later Super Bowl or eliminating the Pro Bowl if the 2020 season is delayed. The Sports Business Journal reports that the league has discussed many different alternatives, including pushing the Super Bowl date back from February 7th to February 28th. Eliminating bye weeks is also an option.

(Arlington, TX) — The Rangers’ new ballpark could serve as a regional hub once the Major League Baseball season starts. Texas GM Jon Daniels said on a conference call it’s among several ideas being discussed, but it makes a lot of sense. Arizona and Florida could also be used as regional hubs.

(Undated) — All three of the Ball brothers are signing with Roc Nation Sports as their new agents. The sports agency is owned by rapper Jay-Z. Former Bruin and oldest brother Lonzo Ball is now with the New Orleans Pelicans, and baby brother LaMelo is expected to be a lottery pick this year. Middle child LiAngelo is currently in the NBA G-League.
>>KU’s Self, Miles And Long Taking Pay Cuts
(Lawrence, KS) — Kansas head basketball coach Bill Self, head football coach Les Miles and athletic director Jeff Long have agreed to take a 10 percent pay cut for the next six months. That will save the athletic department almost a half-million dollars. Schools are looking ways to trim budgets during the pandemic.
