This team proved that a season isn’t over just because you start off poorly. The Vandals started off the 2003 season 5-11 but rebounded and won a share of the South Central Conference, upset Shelbyville in the regional semi-finals before finally losing to South Central (one of the best offensive teams I’ve ever seen at the HS level).
The Vandals beat Greenville twice that year, including in their final regular season game to win a share of the SCC.
