Going thru some of my favorite memories in my 20 seasons broadcasting sports at WKRV-WPMB takes to my first year and the 2000-01 Vandals wrestling team. Before coming here, I had not experienced wrestling so it was brand new for me on so many levels. I thank Coach Exton for helping me learn so much that first year. We didn’t broadcast wrestling like we do now (my goal is still to one day broadcast every Vandals dual team match) but I was at the Dual Team State Tournament (then held at Augustana College) to broadcast the sports show live and to do updates during the match. It was my first time covering a team at state. Here is my wrap right after the Vandals fell in the quarterfinals.
