(Undated) — The XFL appears to be over. The football league owned by WWE CEO/president Vince McMahon filed for bankruptcy yesterday, saying it owed millions of dollars to creditors. The Post Dispatch reports that includes 1.6-million-dollars to the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission, which is already struggling with coronavirus-related losses. The XFL suspended operations and laid off nearly all of its staff last week. League officials say they weren’t insulated from the harsh economic impacts and uncertainties caused by the COVID-19 crisis.
