Hallemann Commits to Play for Rend Lake College

Greenville Lady Comets basketball senior Megan Hallemann will continue her basketball career at the collegiate level. Rend Lake College recently announced via social media that Hallemann had committed to play for the Lady Warriors.

Hallemann played in all 30 of the Comets games this past season leading the team in several categories including points (355), rebounds (271), blocks (171) and free throw percentage (72%). This season, Hallemann became just the 7th person in Comet basketball history to become a member of the 1,000 point club and she is also a two-time All-State honoree.

For her career, Hallemann finished with 1,153 points, 744 rebounds, 557 blocks, 93 assists, 78 steals. Hallemann’s career blocks total is the most in Lady Comet history and is also #6 on the IHSA’s all time list. Hallemann’s career point and rebound total both meet the criteria for the GHS Hall of Fame.

Rend Lake College is a member of the Great Rivers Athletic Conference. The Lady Warriors went 18-15 (12-6 in the GRAC) during the 2019-2020 season and made it to the Championship game if the NJCAA Region XXIV Tournament.
